Critical Education Bills re-submitted this year on 01/09/2012
SJR 8212 takes away your right to vote for the Superintendent of Public Instruction. The OSPI would become an executive branch agency.
SB 5522 provides for the establishment of the Governors Department of Education and enhances the power of the Governor and takes away your vote, by making the Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction and executive branch, known as the Secretary of the Department of Education.
SB 5639 creates a Department of Education as an executive branch agency.
P-20 educational council and other agencies that give additional power to the Governor.
